News from Representative Mario Diaz-Balart

 September 20, 2013

Dear Friend,

As your Representative in Congress, it is my honor to be your voice in Washington. I am working tirelessly on your behalf, and always have the interest of our community in mind when legislation comes before me for a vote. More specifically, in my responsibility as a member of the House Committee on Appropriations, I am working to ensure that we focus on funding our national priorities, while working to eliminate waste, fraud, and abuse.  I serve on the three subcommittees: Military Construction and Veterans Affairs, Financial Services, and, State and Foreign Operations. As I am here to serve the constituents of Florida’s 25th District, it is my duty to keep you informed of the latest issues and legislation being debated in Washington.

I hope you will take the time to read the following newsletter, and as always please feel free to contact me with any further comments or questions. To sign up for my e-newsletters, please sign-up here.

Visiting Washington, D.C.

My office is able to reserve tours of the U.S. Capitol, the Pentagon, the Supreme Court, and the Bureau of Engraving and Printing during your visit to Washington, D.C.  You may place an online tour request for any of those locations here. These tours are an excellent way to see all that the nation's capital has to offer and all of these tours are of no charge to you.  All tickets are provided to constituents on a first-come, first-served basis.  Due to the large number of visitors, please request them as early as possible in order to maximize your chances.
