The Paycheck Protection Program

Last Friday, the Paycheck Protection Program was launched by the Small Business Administration. This program was created under the CARES Act, and will provide more than $349 billion in loans to help small businesses retain employees and manage expenses during the COVID-19 outbreak. For information about eligible entities, the benefits of this program and applications for businesses and lenders, visit my website here

Beware of Scams!

Due to the CARES Act, passed on March 27, cash assistance will be provided to Americans with the amount being dependent on income level and family size. The federal government is offering expanded financial assistance to Americans as we combat the coronavirus outbreak. For information about this program, read more here

Recently, there has been an uptick in scams related to these coronavirus relief checks. These scams can be in the form of emails, text messages, websites, and social media. Red Cross Continues to Urge Americans to Donate Blood!

The Red Cross is ensuring a safe process to donate blood, and they are taking extra precautions to protect donors and staff during the coronavirus outbreak. As we combat this disease, more Americans will need blood. Please consider sharing your health with your fellow Americans. Find a Red Cross blood drive and make an appointment here.

The Red Cross is also currently seeking people who are fully recovered from COVID-19 and are willing to donate plasma to help current patients with serious or immediately life-threatening COVID-19 infections. Learn more here
