News from Representative Tom Emmer

Dear Friend,

I'm glad to be back in Minnesota's Sixth District after another busy week in Washington, D.C. I'm looking forward to seeing many of you at my town hall in Scandia tomorrow. For more information, visit my website here

Last week, I had the chance to meet with many Minnesotans during their visits to our nation's Capital, like the Minnesota Soybean Growers Association, and the I-94 Coalition. Two important groups that advocate for important needs for our agriculture community and upgraded transportation for major corridors in Minnesota's Sixth District.

I always look forward to seeing Minnesotans during their visits. If you are planning a trip to Washington, D.C. visit my website here for ways my office can assist you with tours, and please stop by my office during your trip!

Last week, my colleagues and I took important steps to serve the American people. We voted to increase the Federal Communications Commission’s (FCC) ability to take action against illegal robocalling operations and require all carriers to implement technology to make sure calls are authentic. I voted for this important legislation in an attempt to eliminate these annoying calls.

I also joined my colleagues to condemn the anti-Israel "Boycott, Divest, Sanction" movement, which encourages businesses, governments and other entities to boycott, divest and sanction Israel. This clearly anti-Semitic agenda attacks the livelihood of our ally, Israel. I will continue to stand against discrimination and bold attempts to disenfranchise Israel.

I am glad to be back in Minnesota with all of you, and will keep you updated about upcoming events. I hope to see many of you tomorrow at my town hall. To keep up with what we're up to, follow me on Twitter and Facebook
