On the Release of the Mueller Report

On April 18, the U.S. Justice Department released Special Counsel Robert Mueller's report to Congress and the public. I am glad this report was released and voted to make it public in March. This should be the end of this chapter but unfortunately, some Democrats refuse to accept these conclusions.

Despite 2800 subpoenas, 500 witnesses, an unlimited budget, and now more than 400 pages of Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation, nothing has changed. There was no collusion and Mueller concluded there is insufficient evidence for obstruction of justice. Yet the investigations continue because some Democrats have sacrificed the principle of presumption of innocence on the altar of political profits. This is the politics of personal destruction. It is past time for Congress to move on with the business of the American people.

Receiving the U.S. Chamber's Spirit of Enterprise Award

Image

I was honored to receive the Spirit of Enterprise award from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce earlier this month.

The U.S. Chamber awards the Spirit of Enterprise to Members of Congress based on their votes on critical legislation as outlined in the Chamber’s How They Voted scorecard. During the second session of the 115th Congress, the Chamber scored Members of Congress on 12 House votes.

Over 1 million small businesses operated in Pennsylvania in 2017 and employed 2.5 million workers statewide. That's nearly half of Pennsylvania’s workforce.

Businesses and their workers are the backbone of our country and our economy. As a former small business owner, I'm very proud to support policies in Congress to promote job creation, hard work and free enterprise.

Thank you to the Chamber for this recognition!
