News from Representative Larson

Dear Friends,

COVID-19 cases are rising across Connecticut, but there are many steps we can take to protect our neighbors and families. Aside from wearing a mask and social distancing, testing remains one of our strongest tools for mitigating the spread of COVID-19. Thanks to a federal law enacted in March, testing for COVID-19 is free.

If you aren’t sure if you or a family member should get tested, you can find information here. For a list of local testing sites and their policies, click here.

Here are just some of the COVID-19 testing options available in Connecticut:

  • The Community Health Center is offering free walk or drive up testing across the state. No appointment is necessary, but pre-registration is encouraged. For information about how to get tested, call 475-241-0740 or click here.
  • Hartford Health is offering drive-up and walk-in testing across Connecticut. For more information about testing sites and hours, call 1-833-621-0600 or click here.
  • Trinity Health is offering testing at Johnson Memorial, Saint Francis, and Saint Mary’s hospitals, as well as free mobile testing sites in Hartford and Waterbury. To learn more about which option may be best for you call 888-786-2790 or click here.

Please visit the State of Connecticut’s COVID resource page if you are looking for general assistance or guidance regarding coronavirus and resources available to you.

I will continue to fight for the funding and resources our communities need to combat the public health crisis.
