News from Representative Rouzer

Dear Friends,

I'd like to invite you to join me on the evening of Monday, May 6th for a Hurricane Recovery Roundtable at Pender High School in Burgaw.  Similar to the event we held in Kenansville earlier this year, this will be an information session and overview of ongoing Hurricane Florence recovery efforts highlighting the work of non-profits and other organizations in North Carolina’s 7th District. In many cases, these are the organizations that can help individuals and families most.

Representatives from a number of organizations and the private sector will be participating, including Duke Energy, Pender County Long Term Recovery Group, the American Red Cross, the Salvation Army, Habitat for Humanity, the North Carolina Farm Bureau, Legal Aid, the Food Bank of Eastern NC, First Fruit Ministries and WARM.

The event will run from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Monday's event will give you an opportunity to learn more about services available through these non-profits to those still recovering from Hurricane Florence. You'll also have the opportunity to visit information booths and talk one-on-one with service providers.

Additionally, Mike Sprayberry, Director of North Carolina Emergency Management, will be providing an update on recovery efforts by the state.

All residents of the 7th District are invited and encouraged to attend. Doors will open at 6:00 p.m. and the roundtable will begin at 6:15 p.m.

I hope you'll join us on Monday evening.
