BREAKING: My first bill has passed through the House of Representatives. H.R. 3050, the Expanding Investment in Small Businesses Act eliminates barriers so entrepreneurs can invest, hire workers, and create good paying jobs in our community.

Above is a still photo from Tuesday night's vote series. My bill passed 417-2. Proud to have worked with my Financial Services Committee colleague, Rep. Vicente Gonzalez (D-TX), to get this win across the finish line!
“As a former small business owner, I know firsthand how difficult it is to navigate the challenges and risks associated with starting a company. This legislation seeks to reduce barriers to entry for small business owners, increase access to capital enabling companies to provide more job opportunities and growth for local economies. We need more bipartisan efforts like this to empower entrepreneurs so they can invest in local communities.” - Rep. Vicente Gonzalez

Supporting Small Businesses, Creating Jobs

More than 60% of new jobs are created by small businesses. Entrepreneurs and start-ups create good paying jobs for workers. It's important we continue giving job creators the ability to invest in our communities. Click on photo above to learn more about my bill.
