Community Resources
to Prepare for an ICE Raid

Dear San Franciscan,

Last week, President Donald Trump tweeted that U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) would begin the process of deporting millions of undocumented immigrants. Following the announcement, I called the President and asked that he halt the planned immigration raids, because families belong together. Following our conversation, the President halted the raids temporarily.

It is important that the President and our immigrant communities know that immigrants have rights in America. For community resources outlining what you can do if ICE comes to your house or apartment, please see the following:

  2. SF Office of Civic Engagement and Immigrant Affairs
  3. American Civil Liberties Union (Español)
  4. National Immigration Law Center (Español)
  5. American Immigration Lawyers Association
  6. American Federation of Teachers

My office cannot provide legal assistance, but we are able to provide direct assistance with federal agencies. If you need assistance, please reach out to my San Francisco Office at (415) 556-4862 or visit my website here.

In San Francisco, we know that beauty is in the mix. Every day, I am proud to work to ensure that immigrants can continue to enrich and bless our nation with the courage, determination and patriotism they bring to our shores. House Democrats will continue to fight for comprehensive immigration reform that values immigrants and keeps families together.
