It has been a busy August traveling around our district! Below are a number of photos of visits and groups I've met with during the August district work period. You can see more photos from this month on my Twitter and Facebook pages!

The weather held off long enough for a nice evening with constituents at the Elizabethtown Fair. It’s always a pleasure to engage with folks from across the district!

I met with Bread for the World recently to discuss hunger and the federal budget. We had a good discussion about eradicating hunger in our community. If you would like to schedule a meeting with me, you can do so here.

National dog day took place on August 26th, you can see my dog, Koda pictured above! In Congress, I have cosponsored legislation to protect women and animals from abuse. Many victims of domestic violence are often reluctant to leave their situation if they cannot take their pets with them, for fear of what the abuser might do to their pets. The bipartisan Pet and Woman Safety Act would address obstacles to getting help for these victims by providing shelter and housing assistance victims and their pets. You can read more about this important legislation here.
