News from Representative Carson

February 27, 2017

Dear Friend,

As a parent, I know it can sometimes feel like a challenge to find rewarding, safe activities for our children when they are out of school and during the summer months. That’s why I have teamed up with local community organizations and businesses to make it easier for Indianapolis families to find these types of opportunities.

On Monday, March 6th, I will host my fourth annual Youth Opportunities Fair in cooperation with EmployIndy, JAG Indiana, the Marion County Commission on Youth, and the Indianapolis Public Library. It will take place from Noon -7 PM at the Central Library, and it is free and open to the public.

The goal of the Youth Opportunities Fair is to present students and parents with a variety of year-round and summer options for youth of all ages. In addition to job opportunities for teens and young adults, this event will feature local service providers and other groups that offer summer and year-round programs, internships and volunteer opportunities designed for young people.

Congressman Carson meets with local youth about his work to expand educational and summer opportunities in Indianapolis.

I hope you’ll join me on March 6th at the Central Library to find out more about what Indianapolis has to offer our young people – and how they can give back to our great city.
