News from Congressman Scott Peters

January 16, 2015

Dear Friend,

Last week marked the start of the 114th Congress. I’m looking forward to continuing to bring San Diego’s innovative, problem-solving approach to Washington; that means working with both parties to solve problems and get things done!

New Year’s Resolutions for the 114th Congress

Recently, I issued my list of New Year’s Resolutions for the 114th Congress as a call to action, and a reminder to us all that we’ve been granted a great and serious honor by the American people. We owe them more policy and less politics, and our steadfast commitment to giving them a Congress they can be proud of.

Medical Device Tax Repeal

Last week I joined a bipartisan group of colleagues to lead the effort to repeal the Medical Device Tax, an excise tax which unfairly penalizes innovative job-creators, including the 240 device companies in the San Diego region and their 11,000 employees. Congress needs to support businesses that make their products in America and employ American workers.

New DC office, same great services

My Washington office has relocated to 1122 Longworth House Office Building. Although, our office location has changed we still offer the same great services for San Diegans visiting DC. Be sure stop by if you are in DC. My San Diego staff can still be found at the same phone number and location in University City.
