Dear Friend,
The Paycheck Protection Program has successfully provided relief to almost 70,000 businesses in Pennsylvania. Our small businesses and agricultural enterprises are critical to our state's resounding economic strength and it is essential that this program have adequate resources to support every business in need. Today, I joined my colleagues in approving an additional $310 billion for the SBA's Paycheck Protection Program. See my floor speech in support of this critical legislation here:
This action nearly doubles funding for the Paycheck Protection Program and expands the SBA's Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL) program. Agricultural enterprises and farms with fewer than 500 employees are already eligible for the Paycheck Protection Program and, with the legislation passed today, will be eligible for the EIDL program, as well.
This additional funding does not change the application process, eligibility requirements, or forgiveness provisions in the Paycheck Protection Program. Businesses should contact their lender for additional information and to apply for a loan.
