District Update |December 1, 2019

Dear Friend,

As we officially enter the holiday season, we wanted to send a note of thanks. We are so  thankful for all of our constituents and to call the grand canyon state our home.

This Thanksgiving our family continues the tradition of celebrating with both of my families. With November being National Adoption Month, it makes an already thankful time even better. Joyce and I are so blessed to have our daughter Olivia with us at the holidays after spending years trying to adopt. We hope that each of you had a safe and peaceful thanksgiving spent with family and friends.

Here is a photo from the Fountain Hills Thanksgiving Parade. We enjoyed spending time with everyone in our community before we all sat down together for our Thanksgiving feasts.

One Year Anniversary of USMCA Being Signed

One year ago, President Trump signed the United States, Mexico, Canada Agreement with leaders from Mexico and Canada. Since that year, my Republican colleagues and I have been pushing for this modernized, and bipartisan, trade agreement to come to the floor for a vote.

We will return to Washington, D.C. with one month left in 2019 to get this trade agreement across the finish line. I will continue to work with my colleagues on the Trade Whip Team and the Ways and Means Committee to urge Democratic members to have Speaker Pelosi bring this to the floor.

Upcoming Events

Next Wednesday, my District Office team will be in the Salt River Pima Indian Community at the Two Waters Government Complex in the Round House Cafe Sen meeting room, located at 10005 E. Osborn Rd, Scottsdale, AZ 85256, to discuss federal casework issues with constituents. If you need help or have any questions regarding federal casework, be sure to come by!

I appreciate you taking the time to read my weekly E-Newsletter. If you would like to contact me, please feel welcome to browse my website for the different services our office can help you with.
