Dear
Neighbor,
Fall
is
the
time
of
year
that
we
gather
to
celebrate
bountiful
harvests,
family
and
friends.
Unfortunately,
these
close,
indoor
gatherings
are
an
opportunity
to
spread
the
flu-causing
germs.
For
many
people,
the
symptoms
of
influenza
may
mean
an
uncomfortable
week
of
chills
and
aches,
but
for
others
serious
complications
–including
death
–
can
occur.
The
Centers
for
Disease
Control
(CDC)
estimates
that
up
to
20
percent
of
U.S.
residents
will
contract
the
flu
each
year.
This
highly-contagious,
respiratory
illness
can
spread
from
another
person
more
than
6
feet
away
or
just
by
touching
a
surface
that
has
the
flu
virus.
Also,
you
can
carry
and
spread
the
virus
days
before
coming
down
with
symptoms,
leading
you
to
unknowingly
infect
a
loved-one.
Therefore,
the
CDC
urges
everyone
6
months
of
age
and
older
to
get
a
flu
vaccination
every
season.

Get
your
flu
shot
now,
before
local
providers
run
out
of
supplies.
Pharmacies,
groceries
and
clinics
all
offer
low
cost
options
for
your
family
to
vaccinate.
A
flu
shot
does
not
guarantee
protection
from
infection,
but
can
reduce
the
severity
of
symptoms
and
is
the
best
way
to
protect
your
family.
In
addition
to
getting
vaccinated,
you
can
take
simple
steps,
like
staying
away
from
sick
people
and
washing
your
hands
to
reduce
the
spread
of
germs.
Taking
precautionary
measures
helps
better
protect
our
families,
while
preventing
serious
illness
nationwide.
If
you
have
any
questions
or
concerns
regarding
any
legislative
or
district business
please
feel
free
to
call
one
of
my
offices. Remember
that
I
work
for
you
and
my
offices
are
here
to
help.
Sincerely,

Randy
