Happy Friday –

As the nation celebrates life this week, I’m reminded of the gift of life. As a Member of Congress, I am honored to vote to protect the most vulnerable among us, and I am grateful that we have a President committed to doing the same with his administration. I’m on my way back to Arizona right now for a quick weekend before heading back to Washington, D.C.

Celebrating Life

This week, I was honored to interview former Congresswoman Marilyn Musgrave, the current VP of Government Affairs for Susan B. Anthony List, to talk about the significance of the pro-life movement and the advancements made for life in the Legislative, Executive, and Judicial branches. I’m extremely grateful for her leadership on this vital issue. Click this link or the logo to listen to the latest episode of What’s the BIGGS Idea?

Defending the Most Vulnerable

Today, I joined President Donald Trump, Vice President Mike Pence, several Members of the House and Senate, my daughters, and thousands of pro-life advocates (including many from Arizona) to stand for LIFE. I will always vote to protect the most vulnerable among us and look forward to the day when Roe v Wade is overturned.

Negotiating an End to the Shutdown

Play Button

As we enter another week of the partial government shutdown, I call on Democrats to return to the negotiating table and solve our crisis at the border. President Donald Trump has negotiated several ways to resolve this standoff:

- He's lowered his request from $25 billion to $5.7 billion.
- He's talked about building a steel wall instead of a concrete wall.
- He's selected strategic points to build new wall.

Democrats, let's talk. And let's not play politics with our nation's national security.

Starting the Border Security Caucus

Congressman Brian Babin and I chaired the first 116th meeting of the Border Security Caucus earlier this week. Thank you to all the members who joined us to talk about this important issue. Border security is national security!

Standing with Our Angel Families

Thank you to Mary Ann Mendoza and other Angel Families for coming to Washington, D.C. this week to share your stories and advocate for border security. These families know firsthand the devastation caused by an open border.

Kicking Off the Arizona Legislature

Play Button

Earlier this week, members of the Arizona Legislature took their oaths of office to begin their new term. I recognized them on the House floor, and I look forward to working with my former colleagues for the benefit of our constituents.

Stopping Human Trafficking

I was honored to join the Arizona Trucking Association this week on the snowy National Mall to help them debut the 2019 Everyday Heroes truck. This truck stands as a reminder of the vital role America’s truckers have in the fight against human trafficking. Together we can stop this scourge and save our friends and family members from this fate.

Building the Wall

This month, I reintroduced the Fund and Complete the Border Wall Act. This bill fully funds, completes, and pays for the border wall while giving Border Patrol agents the resources they need to do their jobs. The crisis at the border can no longer be ignored. It's time to build the wall. Read my statement.
