Dear
Friend,
Being
able
to
help
Southern
Arizonans
and
make
a
difference
for
them
is
one
of
the
most
rewarding,
important parts
of
my
job.
And
last
week,
it
was
an
honor
to
help
restore
a
well-earned
medal
for
a
true
hero
in
our
community.
Tucson
resident
Roy
Beebe
served
in
Italy
during
World
War
II,
was
wounded
in
a
mortar
attack,
and
received
a
Purple
Heart
medal.
I
attended
his
100th
birthday
party
earlier
this
year
to
celebrate
his
impressive
milestone,
but
while
speaking
with
him,
I
learned
his
Purple
Heart
had
been
stolen
from
his
home
years
ago.
Since
that
day,
my
staff
has
been
persistent
in
working
with
Roy's
family,
the
Army,
and
the
National
Personnel
Records
Center
to
locate
his
service
records
and
procure
a
new
medal
for
him,
and, on
Monday,
we
were
able
to
present
him
with
a
new
Purple
Heart!

Welcome
Home,
Bulldogs
Over
the
last
six
months,
the
airmen
of
the
354th
Fighter
Squadron
flew
over
1,500
missions
in
21
countries
as
they
worked
with
our
NATO
allies
in
the
face
of
Russian
aggression.
As
the
former
commander
of
the
Bulldogs,
I
can
say
there's
nothing
quite
like
touching
down
in
Tucson
after
a
long
deployment,
and
it
was
great
to
be
able
to
greet
our
airmen
and
their
families
in
person
on
Tuesday
to
say,
“welcome
home.”

Meeting
with
seniors
Nearly
130,000
seniors
live
in
Southern
Arizona.
They
deserve
a
secure
retirement
without
having
to
worry
about
how
they
will
make
ends
meet.
On
Wednesday,
I
had
the
opportunity
to
meet
with
50
seniors
at
the
Broadway
Proper
Senior
Center
in
Tucson
to
discuss preserving
Social
Security
and
Medicare
and
keeping
our
country
and
communities
safe.

A
great
example
I
was
proud
to
present
on
Wednesday
the
Congressional
Silver
Medal
to
Ben
Trumpinski,
a
student
who
recently
graduated
from
Cienega
High
School.
To
earn
his
medal,
Ben
worked
to
feed
and
clothe
the
homeless
in
several
communities.
He
also
worked
as
a
counselor
at
a
day
camp
for
pre-school
and
elementary
school
children,
volunteered
at
an
eco-farm,
and
tutored
students
in
math.
Ben
is
a
great
example
of
stepping
up
to
serve
and
lead
in
his
community,
and
it
was
an
honor
to
recognize
his
accomplishments.

Take

my

It's
an
honor
to
represent
your
voice
in
Congress,
and
I
look
forward
to
hearing
from
you.
