District Update |August 11, 2019

Dear Friend,

It was a great week meeting with community groups in Arizona's 6th District. I would like to update you on some of the work I did this past week in Arizona,

I joined local radio to discuss what I would like to see done in Congress to prevent further shootings in communities across the country. If you would like to listen to the radio interview, click here

Welcome Home Arizona National Guard!

This week, Arizona welcomed home the men and women who have been serving their time abroad in the Arizona National Guard. Thank you for your service to this nation, I hope you are enjoying time at home with loved ones.

Talking CO2 Capture with ASU

I joined Scientists at the ASU Direct Air Capture Lab to discuss how we can reduce our CO2 levels as a country, specifically by implementing climate technology.

This Congress, I have worked with my colleagues along both sides of the aisle to ensure we are helping businesses and our government implement carbon capture technology. I have spoken on the House Floor  about the different climate technology we have available, including a facility in Texas that does not even require a smokestack, to incentivize pro-growth climate technology improvements in our country.

It was great to discuss the different technology we have available, and the work ASU is doing to help us reduce our CO2 levels. I look forward to staying in touch to learn more about the different climate technology solutions that are being developed.

Visiting Our Seniors

I had the pleasure of meeting with residents and employees at the Helen Drake Senior Center in Phoenix to discuss all of the different constituent services our office can help AZ-06 residents with.

In Scottsdale, we have a highly experienced team working with U.S. Federal Agencies to ensure Arizonans are receiving the benefits they have been approved for. If you are having any issues with your VA benefits, the Social Security Administration, your immigration status, and more, be sure to contact our office.

All of our services can be found here. Please also feel welcome to call our office at(480) 946-2411 for additional questions.

Non-Profit Spotlight

We gave a Non-Profit Spotlight to Joy Bus Diner this week for the work they are doing in our community for cancer patients. It was great to meet with volunteers at Joy Bus Diner in Phoenix and learn about their meal delivery system that provides meals on a weekly basis to Arizona cancer patients.

They are always looking for more volunteers to help deliver these meals each Friday. Check out this link for more information on how you can volunteer and spread the word!

I appreciate you taking the time to read my weekly E-Newsletter. If you would like to contact me, please feel welcome to browse my website for the different services our office can help you with.
