NAM Honors Representative Weber for Supporting Manufacturing 

Washington, D.C., March 30, 2015 – Today, the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) awarded Representative Randy Weber (R-TX-14) the NAM Award for Manufacturing Legislative Excellenceat an event hosted by NAM member company LyondellBasell in Alvin, Texas.

"I want to extend my sincerest appreciation to NAM for this recognition. I always say, the things that make America great, are the things America makes. Our manufacturers are the core of that motto,”said Representative Weber.

“LyondellBasell appreciates the strong support that Congressman Weber has extended to our company and our industry in Congress.  We were honored to host the presentation of this well-deserved award,”said Tony Wood, Site Manager at LyondellBasell’s Chocolate Bayou Polymers Plant.

“Manufacturing in Texas and across the country is making a comeback,” said NAM President and CEO Jay Timmons.“ Manufacturers are growing the economy and creating high-paying jobs in a sector that adds $1.32 to the economy for every $1 spent. Representative Weber understands that leaders in Washington must advance policies that will continue to fuel this economic growth and has consistently supported manufacturers through his votes in Congress.”

The deadline for submitting artwork will be Friday, April 17, 2015, and judging will be held on Wednesday, April 30, 2014. Artwork must be submitted to one of my district offices, addresses listed below, by Friday, April 17, 2015, at 5:00 P.M. Art submissions may be dropped off at any of the district offices below.
