Happy Friday -

Christmas and New Year's are coming fast. Where has the year gone? Not only the year, where has the 115th Congress gone? I'm continuing to push my colleagues to include sufficient border wall funding in the year-end spending bill; the deadline is a week from tonight. Next week should be interesting - stay tuned....

Thank You, Senator Kyl

Today, Senator Jon Kyl announced that he would be resigning his U.S. Senate appointment on December 31, 2018. Senator Kyl is a distinguished public servant, who has worked extremely hard for decades on behalf of Arizonans and Americans. His presence in Washington, D.C. will (again) be missed.

Build the Wall

As I mentioned above, the 115th Congress might be ending soon, but we still have a little over two weeks remaining to finish the work we promised the American people. Foremost on that list is our commitment to fund and build the border wall. I'm encouraging my colleagues to include $25 Billion of funding for this endeavor in the year-end spending package. Read my latest op-ed for more of my thoughts on this vital issue.

Christmas Cards

Many members of our Armed Forces are preparing to spend another Christmas away from their families. This week, I joined the American Red Cross to write some cards to our deployed heroes. Be safe and know that we are praying for your safe returns.

Talking to Arizona's Fifth Congressional District

Earlier this week, I had the privilege of hosting a telephone town hall to talk to my constituents. This was the final town hall of the year, but don't worry: I'm planning many more for the 116th Congress. We will announce these events beforehand on our social media platforms.

Looking Back at the 115th Congress

We've had bills signed into law. We've helped constituents. We've interacted with thousands of people. There's so much to reflect on as we conclude the 115th Congress. Each day, on my social media platforms this December, I am publishing memories to look back at what we accomplished over the past two years. Follow my Facebook for more of these memories.
