I would first like to start off with an apology for the delayed lapse in Community Resource Updates and Events. The Team and myself have been collaborating on new and improved ways to get information out to our neighbors in a more timely and efficient manner. As we make these changes, we hope that you enjoy them and our new communications vision. Please follow our social media pages for daily updates and resources.

HURRICANE IDA SUPPLEMENTAL FUNDING PROGRAM
The Mayor’s Office of Housing Recovery Operations application for the Hurricane Ida Supplemental Funding Program, which will give homeowners another option to seek resolution to issues caused by Hurricane Ida. This program are for those who were not able to access other funding avenues such as FEMA, and who have not been able to restore functional habitability to their home. Attached is the flyer for the program, as well as the notice of public hearing for the Ida Action Plan on September 14th 2022. Please also see information below:

NYC Mayor’s Office of Housing Recovery Operations
Were you impacted by Post Tropical Storm Ida? We may be able to help!
• If you own a 1-4 family home that was uninhabitable because of damage from Ida; and
• You applied for FEMA or were not eligible for FEMA assistance because you are a landlord; and
• Have either been denied or received less than the amount needed to complete repairs that would make the home habitable, then
• You may be eligible for assistance up to $72,000* to cover the cost of there pairs to make the home habitable** and for mitigation measures to protect against future damage.
APPLICATION DEADLINE SEPTEMBER 12, 2022
*Subject to program policy guidelines.
**Program habitability is defined as having functioning heat, hot water, electricity, and gas (where applicable) with at least one running tap with potable water and one functioning toilet.

We have added a new service to our office menu, that’s right NOTARIZATION ! Our office now provides Notary Services to our District 12 Residents, free of charge, at our Gun Hill Road District Office courtesy of our Chief of Staff, Simone A. Jones.
Appointments are highly encouraged, so call us at 718-684-5509 to book an appointment. Walk ins are welcome and we will accommodate where possible but appointments are preferred.
