Meet San Diego's New Fire Chief

Join Councilman Mark Kersey for an exclusive meet-and-greet with San Diego Fire-Rescue Chief Brian Fennessy.

San Diego Fire-Rescue Chief Brian Fennessy takes on this critical leadership role after more than three decades with the department. He is a natural leader who has big ideas and can lead our Fire-Rescue Department into the next generation.

Chief Fennessy will be on hand to discuss his priorities for the department and emergency response in District Five. The American Red Cross San Diego chapter will also be there to answer questions about emergency preparedness.

Free Sandbag Event January 16

After the storms we saw this week, it's pretty clear we are in for a wet El Niño winter. On Saturday, January 16, I will join my council colleague Chris Cate at the Home Depot in Mira Mesa to provide pre-filled sandbags to San Diego residents at no cost. Please join us to make sure you are prepared for the next big storm.
