Have You Checked Your Check

Did you check your check in February? Are you seeing more money in it? Most hardworking Montanans are. In fact, 9 in 10 Americans started seeing bigger paychecks thanks to the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act.

The tax cuts are making a real difference. I’ve heard stories all around Montana. Small business owners are hiring more people and giving their workers raises. Larger employers in Montana and throughout our country are giving bonuses, raises, and more benefits to their employees.

Regulations Bucking Rodeo Competitors

Unclear federal regulations could force Montanans, who compete recreationally in rodeos, to get a commercial driver's license. This includes moms and dads who drive their kids and their horses to and from competitions.

For most people who rodeo in Montana, rodeo is a hobby, not their livelihood.

And yet federal regulations could force rodeo participants to wade through needless, costly red tape for their hobby.

That's why I'm leading a bipartisan effort to fix these regulations. I'll continue working to reform, roll back, and repeal unnecessary regulations to protect our Montana way of life.

Bringing Clean Water to Rural Montana

I recently introduced the Clean Water for Rural Communities Act to improve Montana’s rural water infrastructure. The bill authorizes two Bureau of Reclamation rural water projects that will provide water treatment and delivery to 22,500 residents in 11 Montana counties.

I'm thankful for the diligent efforts of community leaders, including those with the Dry-Redwater Regional Water Authority and the Central Montana Regional Water Authority.
