Weber tours Galveston Oil Spill

On March 31, Congressman Weber took a tour of the Galveston oil spill to see the clean up efforts firsthand and to assess the short term and potential long term impacts.

 "I took this tour so that I could report back to my constituents to reiterate that everything is being done to mitigate this situation and to ensure that our area stays clean and pristine. I am thoroughly impressed by this operation and appreciate the tireless efforts by everyone involved in this cleanup." - Rep. Weber.

Weber Visits Brazoswood High School

On March 20, Brazoswood High School hosted Congressman Weber for a Q&A with AP Government students.

"It was a great opportunity to speak with the students about the role of government and the importance of knowing who represents them from the local level, all the way to the Oval Office."- Rep. Weber.

Texas City High School visits Capitol Hill

On March 5, Texas City High School students took a tour of the US Capitol and had the opportunity to meet with Congressman Weber.

"It was a pleasure meeting with the students from Texas City High School. What a bright group of young minds. I hope they enjoyed their time here in D.C. and learned a lot." - Rep. Weber.

Participate in this year's Congressional Art Competition

This year marks the 31st annual Congressional Art Competition.  This nationwide competition encourages high school students from across America to showcase their artistic talents, which if chosen, will be displayed in the US Capitol for a year starting in June.

Interested participants must submit their artwork to one of Congressman Weber’s district offices by Wednesday, April 23, 2014 by 5:00 pm. Students may only submit one original entry no larger than 28" x 28" x 4" inches, including the frame. Paintings, drawings, watercolors, pastels, collages, or prints may be submitted.
