Targets
Today
the
House
and
Senate
GOP
released
their
budget
targets.
Unsurprisingly
they
continue
to
use
phony
math
and
accounting
gimmicks
in
order
to
mislead
the
public.
When
looking
at
forecasted
spending,
the
GOP's
budget
actually
cuts
critical
spending
in
Health
and
Human
Services
and
Education.
Their
transportation
funding
will
not
keep
pace
with
maintenance
needs
and
there
is
not
a
single
penny
for
new
transit
needs.

This
week
I
was
pleased
to
see
so
many
constituents
at
the
Capitol.
I
was
especially
pleased
to
be
able
to
host
members
of
my
fraternal
organization
at
the
Capitol
to
discuss
this
legislative
session,
the
state's
budget
and
equity
funding.
I
want
to
extend
a
special

Rep.
Melissa
Hortman,
Sen.
Tom
Bakk
and
Gov.
Mark
Dayton
for
making
the
time
to
visit
with
the
group.
