Dear
Neighbor,
During
this
temporary
government
shutdown,
the
President
and
the
Senate
Majority
Leader
have
repeatedly
refused
to
come
to
the
table
to
negotiate.
The
U.S.
House
Republicans
have
passed nine
budget
bills
that
would
fund
critical
government
operations.
As
time
goes
on,
more
and
more
House
Democrats
are
working
with
us,
to
re-open
the
government:
25 voted
to
fund
pediatric
cancer
research.
(October
2)
23 voted
to
reopen
national
parks,
memorials,
and
monuments.
(October
2)
35 voted to
honor our
promise
to
give
veterans
the
benefits
they
earned.
(October
3)
36 voted
to
pay
our
National
Guard
and
Army
Reserve
personnel.
(October
3)
23 voted
to
make
sure
funds
are
available
to
provide
disaster
relief.
(October
4)
189 voted
to
provide
back
pay
for
furloughed
federal
employees.
(October
5)
20 voted
to
fund
the
Food
and
Drug
Administration
(October
7)
This
shutdown
can
end
today.
All
that
is
needed
is
for
the
President
and
Senate
Majority Leader to
meet House
Republicans and
negotiate
to
reach
a
fair
solution
for
hard-working
Americans.
If
you
have
any
questions
or
concerns
regarding
any
legislative
or
district business,
please
feel
free
to
call
one
of
my
offices. Remember
that
I
work
for
you,
and
my
offices
are
here
to
help.
Sincerely,

Congressman
Randy
K.
Weber
