Week in Review
Hello Friends,
This Friday, the President and Congressional leaders reached an agreement to fund the government for the next three weeks. With this news, we are pleased that federal workers will soon be receiving their compensation and we hope the parties will now negotiate in good faith.
As my colleagues and I start next week out of a partial shutdown, I hope we all take the time to focus on our priorities for the 116th Congress. One of my priorities this Congress is to speak on the House floor more often.
As I take more time to speak on the floor, I would like to hear what issues are most important to you and your family. Please be sure sure to scroll down to the bottom of this newsletter and complete a quick survey.

Below you will find one of America's most peaceful and treasured national symbols. The bald eagle below was seen flying atop the U.S. Capitol dome this past Friday.
