Weber
Introduces
First
Resolution
I
am
extremely
proud
that
my
first
resolution
as
a
United
States
Congressman
will
help
move
forward
a
project
that
will
greatly
impact
my
district
in
Texas.
I
have
been
at
the
forefront
of
this
topic
since
October
2011
when
I
provided
my
opinion
during
a
public
meeting
at
the
Bob
Bowers
Civic
Center
in
Port
Arthur.
The
President
and
the
State
Department
have
had
1,699
days
to
exhaust
all
their
options.
It
is
time
to
build.
The
Keystone
XL
Pipeline
is
our
country’s
opportunity
to
become
a
leader
in
the
energy
industry,
to
create
jobs,
to
help
grow
our
economy
and
put
us
on
a
path
to
energy
independence
and
security.
Weber
Calls
for
Full
Investigation
on
IRS
Since
Friday,
there
has
been
resounding
opposition,
on
both
sides
of
the
aisle,
against
the
recent
findings
of
the
IRS
targeting
conservative
groups,”
said
Congressman
Weber.
The
President
today
called
this
incident
‘outrageous.’
Frankly,
it
is
beyond
outrageous
and
completely
unethical.
There
needs
to
be
a
full
and
complete
investigation
regarding
this
unnerving
matter.
For
those
involved
in
this
mess,
I
expect
them
to
be
held
accountable
for
their
audacious
abuse
of
power.
Thomas
Payne
said
it
this
way:
‘Government,
even
in
its
best
state,
is
but
a
necessary
evil;
in
its
worst
state,
an
intolerable
one.’
Patriots:
remain
vigilant!
Weber
votes
to
repeal
Obamacare
With
the
recent
revelations
of
IRS
targeting
conservative
organizations,
the
public
trust
in
government
is
at
an
all-time
low.
Government
has
no
place
in
the
health
care
business
or
in
the
doctor-patient
relationship.
This
is
why
I
voted
for
the
repeal
of
Obamacare.
The
President
claimed
that
this
law
will
provide
affordable
health
care
to
everyone,
yet
we
are
seeing
insurance
companies
forecasting
a
400
percent
premium
increase.
In
Texas,
we
could
see
premium
increases
up
to
43
percent
in
the
individual
market,
and
up
to
23
percent
in
the
small
group
market.
That
is
outrageous!
This
“train
wreck”
must
be
repealed
in
order
for
us
to
forge
on
and
work
toward
the
right
kind
of
reform
that
lowers
costs,
improves
the
quality
of
care,
and
protects
jobs. |
