ONLEY, Va. (WAVY) — Over 60 Eastern Shore residents attended an open house town hall with Congresswoman Elaine Luria (VA-02) on Tuesday to get their questions answered.

According to a press release from her office, Luria met with the citizens at the Onley Town Center for the town hall.

She started off with information about what’s happening in Washington, then answered questions for about 30 minutes. The questions ranged from climate change to infrastructure and health care.

Luria says she’s honored to be a voice in Washington for Eastern Shore residents.

Her Eastern Shore trip included visiting Brownsville Preserve, Chincoteague National Wildlife Reserve, NASA’s Wallops Flight Facility and more.

Luria also spoke at the Eastern Shore Chamber of Commerce’s Eggs n’ Issues Breakfast, participated in another town hall with Senator Mark Warner and spoke with the region’s agriculture leaders.
