CAPE CHARLES, Va. — Congresswoman Elaine Luria held a town hall meeting in Cape Charles on November 9.

The Eastern Shore town hall at the Cape Charles Civic Center allowed Representative Luria to hear ideas, suggestions, and questions from residents of the Eastern Shore.

The event took place from 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. Luria answered questions from about 60 constituents, discussed her legislative accomplishments in Washington, and connected residents with members of her team.

The event was similar to other town halls in Virginia Beach, Yorktown, Williamsburg, and Onley.

Rev. Kelvin Jones moderated the questions.

“Eastern Shore residents came prepared to our town hall and I enjoyed answering their thoughtful questions,” Congresswoman Luria said. “Representing the Eastern Shore in Congress means listening to our community’s unique needs and voicing them so the nation takes notice. I’ll continue to do that and I thank everyone for attending such a productive meeting on a beautiful Saturday afternoon!”
