Congressman Williams Statement on the Final Conference Report for NDAA

WASHINGTON, DC – U.S. Congressman Roger Williams (R – Austin), who represents Fort Hood, one of the largest United States military installations in the world, served on the National Defense and Authorization Act (NDAA) Conference Committee, that announced the details of the conference report for NDAA funding for Fiscal Year 2018 (FY18) yesterday.


"After serving on this committee for two weeks, I am extremely proud of what we accomplished. The House and Senate came together to create a package that will strengthen our military, give our troops a well-deserved pay raise, and ensure military readiness to keep our nation safe and secure," said Rep. Roger Williams. "Once this legislation goes through final passage it will then head to President Trump's desk. I urge the President to act swiftly by signing this NDAA in a timely manner so that our armed forces are provided with the tools they need to be the most powerful fighting force in the world."
