Studying rapid changes in work conditions on employee response

WASHINGTON – Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-09) today announced that the University of Memphis Fogelman College of Business and Economics will receive a $111,999 grant from the National Science Foundation to study how rapid changes in work conditions in response to the pandemic have affected employee well-being.

Congressman Cohen made the following statement:

"Understanding how the rapid transformation of the workforce affected those working from home and those required to work on the front lines, and how each group copes with that change, is critical as we move through the employment consequences of this pandemic. This is an investment in finding best practices to foster employee morale in these trying times."
