Congressman Cohen Announces Grant for Shelby County Air Pollution Control Program

MEMPHIS – Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-09) today announced that Shelby County's Air Pollution Control Program will receive a $437,399 grant from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

Congressman Cohen made the following statement:

"Air pollution is a health hazard, especially for those with asthma and other compromised health conditions. The funding I'm announcing today will protect our air resources by supporting a robust program administering permits, inspecting facilities, monitoring air quality and enforcing clean-air regulations. This is money well-spent."
