WASHINGTON – Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-09) today announced that Memphis International Airport will receive $11,286,390 from the Federal Aviation Administration to upgrade the electrical infrastructure of Concourse B and replace four passenger boarding bridges. The funding also reimburses the Memphis-Shelby County Airport Authority for construction of the Taxiway Y bridge completed in October 1999.

Congressman Cohen made the following statement:

"Investments in the Memphis Airport improve its efficiency for passengers and also provide good jobs for Memphians. I'm pleased this grant will help make needed upgrades to the Airport's infrastructure and also reimburse the Airport Authority for previous improvements."
