U.S. Rep. Lloyd Smucker meets with the LNP | LancasterOnline Editorial Board on Friday, May 11, 2018.

U.S. Rep. Lloyd Smucker announced Thursday the opening of two new district offices in York County to serve constituents in the new 11th district.

One office is at 100 Redco Ave. in Red Lion. The another at 118 Carlisle St. in Hanover.

“My biggest duty in Congress is listening to and working for my constituents,” Smucker said in press release. “I am excited to continue to serve the people of Pennsylvania and am looking forward to working with my staff to assist them in any way we possibly can.”

Phone numbers and office hours are not yet available, but a spokesperson said they will be set in the coming weeks.

In his first term, Smucker, of West Lampeter Township, represented the 16th district, which included parts of Berks County. But the district was redrawn and is now the 11th district, which includes Lancaster County and much of southern York County, but none of Berks County.

Smucker's Lancaster office, at 51 S. Duke St., will remain open, but his office in Reading has closed, the spokesperson said.
