Indoor Ventilation

As we head into the winter season, COVID-19 cases are on the rise in New York City and across the country. The colder weather means more time will be spent indoors. Proper indoor ventilation in your apartment and place of employment can help prevent the spread of COVID-19. For more information about ventilation and COVID-19, visit the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's website

As a reminder, here are some ways you can help stop the spread of COVID-19:

  • Wear a face covering that covers your nose and mouth.
  • Avoid indoor gatherings.
  • Stay home if you are sick.
  • Keep physical distance, including in elevators.
  • Wash your hands often with soap and water or use hand sanitizer when soap and water aren’t available.
  • Get tested for COVID-19. Find a testing site near you by visiting NYC COVID-19 Testing or texting “COVID TEST" to 855-48.
  • Answer your phone if you receive a call from a NYC Test and Trace Corps Contact Tracer.
