A 29-year-old man died Tuesday when he darted into traffic in Queens and was hit by a car, police said.

William Wine, who lived a block away, jumped from a raised concrete median and landed in front of a 2001 Honda Accord that was traveling south on Merrick Blvd. near Victoria Blvd. in St. Albans just before 10:40 p.m., according to cops.

Wine died at the scene, officials said. The driver, a 28-year-old man, stayed at the scene.

The older-model black Honda sedan had a smashed windshield and front-end damage from the tragic impact.

There were no arrests, and the NYPD’s Collision Investigation Squad was looking into the crash.
