Press Releases

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Congressman Donald Norcross (NJ-01), member of the House Armed Services Committee, issued the following statement following House passage of H.R. 3364, the Russia, Iran and North Korea Sanctions Act:

“We must hold Iran, Russia and North Korea accountable for their hostile behavior. Whether it’s attempting to undermine American democracy or unlawfully pursuing ballistic missile tests, these three governments have been threatening Americans and we must never turn a blind eye to that.

“By passing this Act, the House is sending a strong message against aggression and also taking appropriate action to hold the Trump Administration accountable for policy changes involving these three countries.

“We must not allow the hostile regimes in Iran and North Korea to become armed with nuclear weapons – and this Act is a step in the right direction. Americans need to know Congress is looking to keep them safe and it’s well-past time the House voted for these sanctions.”
