Washington, D.C. - Today, Congressman Tom Emmer (MN-06) applauded Senate passage of the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA), issuing the following statement:

“I am pleased to see the Senate’s swift action to pass the USMCA after months of delay in the House by Democratic leadership. This agreement will bring farmers, producers, and manufacturers an abundance of opportunities and improved access to critical markets," said Emmer.

Emmer added, "I was proud to vote in favor of USMCA when it passed through the House in December. This modernized trade deal will benefit numerous sectors of Minnesota’s economy, including the elimination of Canada’s Class 7 dairy pricing scheme for our dairy farmers, and improved regulatory guidelines for our medical device community. Today’s Senate vote means Minnesotans are now one step closer to reaping the benefits of this newly negotiated agreement."
