Otsego, MN – Congressman Tom Emmer (MN-06) today announced that he will be participating in the 2020 Congressional App Challenge.

“In an increasingly digital world, Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) skills are important now more than ever.” said Emmer. “This Congressional competition encourages high school students from all over the nation to develop their own software application, or app.”

Emmer concluded, “Taking this time to learn a new skill like app development can only help expand student’s skillsets, and prepare them for careers of the future. This competition is an exceptional way for students to develop STEM skills, all while having fun creating a useful app with their classmates. I am looking forward to seeing what the students of Minnesota’s Sixth Congressional District come up with."
