Thanks to congressmen who helped pass tax cut
I read with great interest how the congressional Democrats from Illinois were ranting and raving against the federal tax bill - which in the final analysis will be a savings for middle-income families across the country - while they all failed to take the time or interest to comment on the 32 percent state income tax hike the Illinois General Assembly Democrats passed over the governor's veto last year - a tax that will severely hurt middle-income families here in Illinois. Thanks to my own congressman, Peter Roskam, who not only helped pass the new federal tax cuts, but also spoke out against our state income tax hike.
