An overflow crowd showed up at Loganville City Hall on Thursday night and saw history made at the local and state levels.
The large gathering was there for the swearing in of a new mayor, Rey Martinez, and three council members, Danny Ford, Anne Hutsinger and Lisa Newberry. It was Martinez’s swearing in, with his wife, Ana, at his side, that made things a little more attention-grabbing than past swearing in ceremonies might have been.
