March 29, 2021

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC) today announced an extension of the deadline to submit an application to her office for fiscal year 2022 Community Project Funding, previously known as earmarks. The rules for each such subcommittee can be found here.

An application consists of:

  • Explanation of the request, including purpose, and a justification for why it is an appropriate use of taxpayer funds
  • Evidence of community support
  • Evidence the entity, other than the District of Columbia government, is a non-profit organization as described under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986
  • Evidence the non-profit's work is primarily focused on D.C.
