Susan Brnovich, Arizona AG’s wife, approved as US District Judge

PHOENIX — The Senate unanimously confirmed Maricopa County Superior Court judge Susan Brnovich to a federal judgeship with the U.S. District Court of Arizona on Thursday.
Brnovich is the wife of Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich.

She has served as a state-level judge since 2009 overseeing criminal, civil and family court cases.
Prior to serving as a Superior Court judge, Brnovich was a court commissioner for five years and was a county prosecutor for eight years.
She earned her undergraduate and law degrees at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Jeremy Kernodle (eastern Texas), Peter Phipps (western Pennsylvania), Chad Kenney (eastern Pennsylvania), James Hanlon (southeastern Indiana) and Lance Walker (Maine) were also confirmed on Thursday.
Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey and U.S. Rep. Andy Biggs (R-Ariz.) showed their support of Brnovich following the confirmation.
