Boozman favors a memorial wall

It would recognize by name casualties of Korean conflict

WASHINGTON -- U.S. Sen. John Boozman, R-Ark., introduced legislation last week to add at the Korean War Memorial on the National Mall a "remembrance wall" listing the names of U.S. service members who died in that conflict.

It would also list the number of service members who were wounded in action, are listed as missing in action or were prisoners of war during the Korean War. Similar statistics for non-U.S. forces would also be added.

In a statement, Boozman called the wall a "fitting remembrance."

"The Korean War Memorial Wall will serve has a reminder of the human cost of the Korean War in which more than 36,000 American service members gave their lives," he said.
