Iran Deal Survey
On July 14, 2015, the Obama Administration announced it had finalized a deal with Iran that would immediately relieve $100 billion in economic sanctions, lift an embargo on Iranian conventional weapons in five years, and remove Iran’s intercontinental ballistic missile program embargo in eight years. The deal does not include “anytime, anywhere” inspections of Tehran’s nuclear program and would do little to prevent Iran from building a nuclear weapon. In fact, it normalizes the acceptance of an extensive Iranian nuclear infrastructure.
I believe the gravity of this extremely dangerous deal goes beyond partisan politics and stands as one of the greatest threats to our national security in a generation, and to that of our allies in the region.
