On May 5, Governor Pritzker announced his plan for a phased-in re-opening of the Illinois economy on a regional basis. In doing so, the Governor has put mostly rural areas like Grundy and Kendall counties in the same region as Chicago and Cook County.By doing this, the Governor has tied these areas to the third-largest city in the nation and ensured that the re-opening process is dramatically slowed compared to our neighboring areas that were placed in different regions. It is not right to treat rural counties like they are the same as Cook County. Join us in demanding that the Governor remove Grundy and Kendall County from the same region as Chicago and Cook County.
